I’ve had this site for a long time, but haven’t used it in about 9 years. I’ve decided to correct that–to flex some of my writing muscles and film knowledge. The goal will be to go through my entire collection, film by film, writing a couple hundred words on each: what’s interesting about it, things that strike me in watching or rewatching it, things I learned from it.

I’m not always known for my follow-through on long term projects, and this will be a long term project; even doing a movie every day, as of right now, it’d take about five years to get through them all. But nothing ventured, nothing gained. And it’s a chance to revisit and reconsider some old favorites, get around to the handful that I haven’t seen yet, and generally feel like I’m doing something with my education on the subject.
